XP to Vista: Why Do So Many People Find the Change Intimidating?

September 01, 2007 By: Migo Software Category: XP to Vista

A few months ago, there were a series of commercials that suggested that upgrading from XP to Vista would be a major operation for your PC - that going from XP to Vista wasn’t as easy as installing new software. Maybe that’s why so many people thought that the transition from XP to Vista would be so intimidating: it was made to look like it would be.

Are there certain system requirements that must be met to go from XP to Vista? Absolutely. You need to have a certain amount of memory, a capable processor and enough room to install the software. Many newer computers did not require many changes in order to make the transition from XP to Vista.

Once people started to catch on to that, there was a new sense of concern: what would happen to all of their files? Would they be able to take photos, music files, documents, spreadsheets, internet settings and more with them?

For some, the file transition from XP to Vista may seem intimidating. But it won’t for those who use Migo Software’s XP to Vista program: for them, all it will take is running the software and all of their files will be there waiting for them, ready to be used.

So, now that you know that going from XP to Vista isn’t as daunting a process as you’d been led to believe, what’s keeping you from upgrading your system?
