Data Encryption Lets You Create a Portable Vault for Your Files

October 02, 2007 By: Migo Software Category: Data Encryption

When you’ve got files that you need to take with you, sometimes it won’t matter who comes across them. If you’re taking music files with you or you’re going to take a few sketches or ideas over to a friends’ place to show off, data encryption isn’t that important.

On the other hand, if you’re taking bank statements with you to work something out with your financial planner, it could be a real problem if you lost track of the USB drive with the files. If you’re transporting work documents that have sensitive information, you don’t want to be responsible for losing the drive and letting the information get out, do you?

The bright side is that data encryption isn’t just for military covert ops files. It’s not just for spies. Anyone can use it to create a portable vault for their files - whether it’s to keep financial statements private or just to hide the plans for a surprise party from a friend who’s great at figuring out what no one whats her to know.

Simply run the software, setup a password, drag the files from your Windows Explorer into your portable vault, organize them the way that you want to, choose which files to protect, then seal up the vault.

With your password, you’ll be able to get back to your files without a problem and - thanks to data encryption - without that password no one else will be able to open them up and see what’s inside.
