How Often Should You Perform a PC Backup?
Everyone has files that they want to protect. It may be music or photos, it may be bank statements or credit card records, it may be presentations, spreadsheets or documents. Keeping them safe by backing up your PC just makes sense.
But how often should you backup your files? Every day? Once a week? Once a month? The answer depends on you, on how often you use your computer and how often your files change.
If you don’t change your important files all that often, you might find that you can set PC Backup from Migo Software to create a copy of your files once a month. If you change a database every day, or your accounting software or documents that you’re working on, you’ll find that you want to backup your files more often - at least once a week or even daily.
Of course, you’ll also find that you have some other options: for example, you can set PC Backup to only backup files of a particular kind - your writing, your music or your photos or spreadsheets. You can set the schedule as well, to match the schedule to your needs.
The worst thing that can happen, if you don’t back up your files daily or weekly, is that you’ll end up working from a backed up file that isn’t quite as recent as you might like - but an older file is better than no file at all, right?
