Another way to perform your regular backup programs is to store files from multiple computers on your network. This can be done without setting up a computer to act as a file server. You can buy a network-attached storage device at any major computer retailer. They are also known as network hard drives. They can be available in both wireless and wired variety. This device is a hard drive that is a hard drive with a network interface. It has a built in server. This means there is no computer required! Just turn it on via your web browser and set up your individual user accounts. Then you just store your files on the disk.
