Should I go from XP to Vista?

June 30, 2007 By: Migo Software Category: Recover Lost Documents

Many people say that Vista is slower than XP at start up and shut down and that’s why they don’t advise anyone to go from XP to Vista. Some people have XP and Vista running side by side. They say that hey have to wait long periods of time for applications to load upon Vista while the loading is almost instantly on XP. Others who have upgraded from XP to Vista say that when they start their computers and see the last BIOS info and the Vista starts loading, they have to wait a full 6 minutes before they can even open their first application!

Others have come to accept the slower speeds as the price for getting the latest Vista program from Microsoft. Some suggest that added more Ram before upgrading to Vista can help the performance of your computer. Those who have 2GB or more of memory have claimed no problems with operating with Vista and were glad to go from XP to Vista.

The shut down and start up times were particularly slow for those who did not have much RAM. Some of them took 10 minutes to boot and 5 minutes to login before they could use their computer. Microsoft has stated that the shut down and start up times will vary depending on the configuration of your PC by the OEM. Most Vista users experience quick responses when using the shut down, restart and sleep feature on their computer. The majority of the users will have shut down and start up times that are faster than what they would have had with Windows XP.

It is also known that if people take advantage of the Vista default sleep setting, they can start to achieve two to three second resume parameters. If slow reboots have kept you from making the change from XP to Vista then perhaps it’s a matter of RAM. You can quickly and easily add more RAM to your computer and make the switch from XP to Vista through Migo’s innovative software programs. Why bother with tedious work and complicated changes when you can simply download the program and install it quickly and easily. You simply move all your personal data to your new Vista PC. How to Recover Deleted Files After You Have Emptied The Recycle Bin

June 26, 2007 By: Migo Software Category: Recover Lost Documents

What if you’ve deleted an important file and emptied your Recycle Bin already? Can you get them back? The truth is that you can really get them back, sometimes. Data recovery is a process of recovering lost data. This includes emails, photo, music, video, documents, web pages, texts, anything that is stored on your hard drive of your computer.

When you perform your data recovery and recover your emergency files, you need more than the correct tools. You need to know how the file deletion occurs. This will maximize your chances of a successful data recovery.

Whenever a file is removed or deleted from your computer the contents in that file are not immediately destroyed. Your operating system simply will mark that hard drive space as being available or vacant and available for use by changing on other character in that particular file table. This will enable the file entry to be displayed in your “My Computer” icon. Once you start an undeletion process before your operating system has a chance to use that part of the hard drive to write over a new file, you just set the flag back to “on”. You then get the same file back.

The sooner you do your data recovery and try to restore a file, the more successful you’ll be at restoring that file. If your hard drive is full, the odds are that the operating system will grab your unallocated space for the next write of files. Another thing that will make it hard to recover your file is performing a defrag.

There are many ways to perform the data recovery, but the easiest and best way is to just get Migo’s Data Recovery software. It’s easy because you just simply install the program and then follow the onscreen instructions. Why worry about having to do all this hard work, when Migo has already done the grunt work for you. Really, can you afford to risk losing your files for good? Order Migo’s Data Recovery Software today!
